American Standard Dog Training

So thankful to Chad and Garrett for the training and education of our 85lb American Bulldog, Billions. As Chad says, he is a beast and with a dog that strong, obedience was necessary. When they started, I was unable to confidently walk our boy without him getting hyper reactive to other dogs and distractions. After 7 weeks he was sitting first class on a 4 hour flight home - perfectly behaved. Night and day transformation. Their patience and guidance after we took our dog home continued and it’s much appreciated. Highly recommend their services. The price is well worth the top notch education for both you and your dog.

As someone who wasn’t fond of prong and e collars because they’re “inhumane”, in comes Garret and ASDT to prove me wrong. For context, I own a 10 month old 70lb German Shepherd and EASILY followed his videos on YouTube. I got Obi at 3 months old and I thought he’d be like every other dog I’ve had: easy. I knew he required activity and being active myself, I knew I could handle him. What I didn’t know about was obedience. I lacked knowledge on how to provide that and it reflected on him. I realized that when I tried to take him on a hike and we could not get out of the parking lot because he was so reactive. Watching ASDTs videos is what helped me get Obi to walk without lunging at people. My attitude changed completely with him and now I’m able to go to hikes, restaurants, breweries, and especially, continue to have family parties at the house without Obi being aggressive. It’s been a long road and I can’t deny that a lot of the changes in Obi had to do with my handling of him but I couldn’t have done it without Garret and American Standard Dog Training’s guidance. They don’t just train dogs, they educate people too. We’re now working on off leash and I’m so excited for this part. Garret, thank you for teaching me how to be the tugboat 🙏🏼

All my love and support to this community. It has helped me so much with my presa canario. I am originally from the canary islands, and the use of e collars is strictly banned in Spain, that is why I was not entirely sure about them at first but I loved seen how Thanos behaved so I decided to give it a shot (figuratively and literally). Following the information in Garret's videos, and my own knowledge and research. Now my 6 month presa behaves better than my dad's 3yo one back in Gran Canaria. Now, I still have some things to work on like the excitement pee (just a dribble when I come back from work) and the excitement nibbles but he knows all the basics (no, drop it, sit, down, heel, present the paw for me to dry them when it rains before getting to the house, etc). Thank you for sharing so much information in the form of your online videos, social media, and forums. It has been a great help to me since I am a first time dog owner. We got a German shepherd at 2 months. I came to find out after that Cash is a DDR, Surprise !!! Garett’s dedication and methods have been a life saver for me since they are easy to watch and practice from basic obedience to the walk. He gives tips and little tricks that work! This is just the beginning for my family and I in a long education process on this breed and dog training. Looking forward to new content and hopefully some hands on training in the future.

I've worked with over 10 dog trainers over the last 20 years and Garrett is by far the best I've ever experienced. My dog is consistently the most well behaved and trained dog whenever we go - even off leash. He will never leave my side and hugs my left side PERFECTLY. it's incredible. The perfect walk course alone has been so amazing for my 6 month old Cane Corso Millie! She heels like a champ on leash. I will be going through obedience 101 and the unleashes course at some point, but I want to wait for the next sale to get them! Oh btw, we are still working on sharpening her heel, but my 4 year old can walk with her in a heel. Can’t recommend DIYk9 training enough!

I have a Zuchon puppy and after watching various videos about training using methods I couldn’t wrap my head around, YouTube recommended American Standard Dog Training in my feed. I clicked and was instantly hooked. His methods work even for my “lap dog”. I’m amazed at how well my pup has learned various commands in the 2 months I’ve had her. All thanks to ASDT! His honesty and methods confirm what I know, but being a new immigrant in the US, I thought perhaps these Americans are more advanced and I should only use PR. Well that alone didn’t work for my pup. Then I find this guy and I was so relieved, and started implementing his methods in training my pup and boy, does she train easily and well! Absolutely love his work! And by the way, he did a video on the breed of dog I had in SA, my favourite; Boerboel! Since then, I’m a huge fan! Thanks for your content, honesty and training which actually works!
